Nature lovers will love Bo Kouga Mountain Retreat where birds fly in abandon, wild flowers carpet the countryside and the occasional leopards roam the mountain ravines. We offer peace and quiet where you can set your own pace. Swim, walk, hike, or just laze around your cottage the choice is yours. A third of the farm is unexplored mountains, which is ideal for hiking and discovering other vegetation and streams. We coincidentally discovered the waterfall on the farm only two years ago. The farm buildings and accommodation have been extensively renovated. The interiors are well appointed with your utmost comfort in mind. Some of the out buildings date back to the 1860’s including two of the four cottages. We are ideally situated between the Garden Route, R62 and the Baviaanskloof. A country vacation at its best!

Self-catering units

Bo Kouga Mountain Retreat currently has four self-catering free standing cottages. Accommodating three to six people per cottage comfortably. Each cottage is stylishly furnished with private braai (barbeque) facility and your own fireplace, perfect to keep you warm during the occasional snowfalls. Well-equipped kitchens, complete with fridge, microwave, stove, kettle and toaster. Each cottage is equipped with a wall safe. The beds and linen are of the highest standards, which include the bath towels. A cleaning service is available by prior arrangement.
