The Self-catering Fisherman's cottage is a fully equipped 3 bedroom house, and sleeps 6. The cottage has a bathroom, kitchen and lounge, 1 double room and 2 twin rooms. All the communal facilities of the Angler & Antelope guesthouse are available to the self-catering guests, including meals by arrangement. Fisherman enjoy mental therapy in magnificent surroundings.
Fly-fish amongst magnanimous mountains for wild fish where it feels like the world is yours exclusively for that moment in time. Conquer Hobson’s Choice (catch a trout, black bass and smallmouth yellowfish in the same day), or target 9 freshwater species on fly.
An area with 4 Biomes, boasts the Big 5, over 20 species of antelope and a birding list in excess of 200 species - paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. The nature of 4 Biomes offers as much diversity in the scenery and activities of Gorge Gliding, Abseiling, Mountain Biking or Hiking, as the history and culture of Somerset East, at the Museum (Slachters Nek) or the Walter Battiss Gallery.
The legendary stories of the Roman Catholic Church and its Priests may be shared whilst seated in St Francis, at the blackwood bar (Nigel’s) next door. All the facilities, including a fly shop, on the premises of the Angler and Antelope, make the Fisherman’s Cottage the catch of the day.
