In the middle of South Africa is the confluence of two mighty rivers, the largest in South Africa, the Orange and the Vaal. On this fertile soil nestles the town of Douglas. The town itself is a green patchwork of dramatic contrasts - space for the solitary and activity for the energetic. It is here that you will find "Rest-A-While" Guest Cottage. The cottage is situated in a serene setting in a quiet area of town.
Perfectly located to explore the interesting surrounds and tourist attractions. Enjoy personal attention and hospitality at its best!

The accommodation includes "braai" facilities and fully equipped kitchen area. All rooms have DStv, are en-suite and have either air conditioning or ceiling fans.

Attractions in the area include a Bee Farm, Ostrich Farm, Dorper Sheep and Geese Farm. Douglas is one of the world's prime freshwater fishing area. Seven most important freshwater fish species, including the large-mouthed yellow fish, are found here.
River rafting and boat trips can be arranged.
There is also an abundant bird life for the bird watchers.

A miracle to behold is a Northern Cape sunset when the amber glow fills the sky and changes colour to lilac, mauve and delicate shades of red. The confluence of the Orange and the Vaal Rivers is a well known landmark and perfect spot to view the sunset.

To escape the madding crowds come to Douglas and restore your soul. And... "Rest-A-While" is the place to stay!
